This is a pre-order option for pickup at our weekend markets on Saturday 1/23 and Sunday 1/24, for Yellow Edge Grouper. This grouper is caught and processed by Anna Marie Shrimp in Montegut, Louisiana! Order now to secure some!
The crew of Anna Marie is catching the grouper now. They will fillet, flash-frozen and vacuum sealed into portions for us that will range from approx. 0.3 lbs to 0.5 lbs. You may pre-order the grouper by the pound and we will mix and match the packages to add up to one pound for you. If the packages add up to slightly over one pound (1.1 or 1.2lb), we will ask that you pay the difference when you pick up at the market next weekend.

About Yellow Edge Grouper
Yellow Edge Grouper is similar to Snowy Grouper, and has yellow fins and yellow eyes. Grouper are caught in deep water coral reefs in the Gulf of Mexico using hook-and-line methods. They commonly grow up to 30 pounds and have a big head and mouth with a chunky, meaty body. It cooks up firm with large flakes and holds its moisture well. It is best grilled, fried, sautéed, broiled, steamed and great in stews and chowders. The flavor is mild but unique, almost similar to halibut.
NOTE: This is not for delivery – pickup only at one of our weekend markets on January 23rd and 24th. All markets are 10 – 3PM except for Salem NH Farmers Market, which is 10 – 12PM and Wentworth Greenhouses Farmers Market in Rollinsford which is 10 – 1PM.
Note – Wentworth Greenhouses requires an appointment for the farmers market due to COVID-19 guidelines. Please make an appointment here before ordering.
