Kayla joined New England Fishmongers in 2018, when the farmers market program began. She holds a Bachelors degree in earth science from UMass Amherst and has commercial fishing experience on a lobster boat prior to working with Tim. Tim and Kayla fish Finlander II together throughout the year, either scalloping or groundfish. Since opening the seafood processing plant, Kayla has become a certified Food Safety Manager and manages the HACCP plan for processing.
Kayla also manages the wholesale program and home delivery program. She oversees the daily operations at the processing plant and is assisted by her sister, Cameryn. All ordering, invoicing, inventory systems and customer relations are managed by Kayla.
