Downeast Maine, Machias, more specifically.
What is your favorite part of commercial fishing?
The pain and misery that gives the world context and tangibility. Also, being a part of a culture and heritage that I hold near and dear to me.
Favorite seafood recipe?
Fresh sockeye salmon fillets covered in 50/50 mayo and Dijon mustard with a tab of butter under each fillet and cooked in the oven of a boat’s diesel stove.
What are you doing when you’re not working on the boat or fishing?
Reading, road trips, boating, working on trucks and tractors.
What is the best part of being a New England Fishmonger?
Having a variety of life and reliable, stable income while being able to do what I love (fishing).
